Product Description
A Bit About Spyderco
Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. Our first product, the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, was initially sold primarily at fairs and trade shows around the country from our Bread Truck. In 1981, we settled in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. This knife was groundbreaking, with its round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for top pocket carry, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting. These features revolutionized the knife industry and set the standard for modern folding knives.
Roc - High Performance Specialty Knife
The Roc, designed by custom knifemaker Serge Panchenko, combines a unique cleaver-style blade with a curved handle and a sturdy LinerLock mechanism, creating a functional cutting tool that defies convention. Made from VG-10 stainless steel, the Roc's PlainEdge blade features a low-profile matte gray finish and a saber grind that balances high-performance edge geometry with strength. Jimping on the blade's spine provides a secure grip, and the Round Hole allows easy one-handed opening. The Roc's handle features skeletonized stainless steel liners, textured G-10 scales, and an open-backed construction for reduced weight and easy maintenance. The thick liners also form the foundation of the LinerLock mechanism, which includes a concave lock ramp. The Roc includes a reversible deep-pocket wire clip for convenient and accessible carry.

THE SPYDERCO WAY
Spyderco is a business that blends cutting-edge innovation and product quality with traditional values and service. Folding knives with locking mechanisms are safe, compact, and easy to carry, and they are where the Spyderco revolution started.
G-10 Handle
The handle of this knife is made from G-10, a rigid, non-slip material filled with epoxy and woven glass fiber. It is resistant to temperature changes and chemicals.
Flat Saber Grind
The blade of this knife has flat bevels that extend from the centerline to the cutting edge. This grind maintains full thickness for increased strength.
PlainEdge Blade
This knife has a sharpened blade without serrations, also known as a smooth blade.
